In addition to her fiction publications, Marissa has been featured in The Regionalist, a journal run by the Institute for Regional Security in Canberra. She has written on many subjects, including Australia's refugee responses and the influence of diplomacy in the Asia Pacific region. Her current Honours thesis addresses the radicalisation of young people through a historical approach to studying religious communities within Australia.

She believes in hard work, consistency and determination, and she writes to provide a wonderful journey for her readers to enjoy. In our turbulent and often disturbing world, there is no better place to escape to than a great book, with characters who can make you feel as though you are experiencing the plot alongside them.
Marissa is a mother of two and has a busy, but fulfilling life that she shares with her husband of 10 years. She loves nothing more than having an impact on future generations and hopes to achieve this through the Into the Abyss series.

Author - 'Chooks on a Mission: Adventures of Gloria and Edwina'
About 12 years ago I observed a very peculiar event on our farm and I instantly knew I needed to write a story about it. Fast forward and here I am finally publishing my story. Gloria has Grit and Gets the Goods is a true story that is simply a part of every day life on a farm in the middle of North Queensland. With 10+ years experience as a Prep Teachers Aide, penning a children's book series felt like the right step.
Chooks on a Mission has been specially designed to teach children phonics and reading skills, as well as to challenge conceptions about what is right and wrong.
Vault of Verona (Deluxe Hardcover)
How is this happening? How can I possibly be in a time 600 years before my own?
Harriet Hunter is living the life of an everyday teenager. In her final year of high school, Harriet is under pressure to balance friends, family, study and life. But all is not as it seems, and Harriet soon finds herself sucked back into a centuries old story - to the time of the fictional Montagues and Capulets. But are they imaginary - or simply the ancestors who came before us?
In 14th Century Verona Harriet is mistaken for the infamous Juliet Capulet, to whom she bears more than a passing resemblance. Showing nerves of steel and a quick mind, Harriet takes the place of the missing Juliet while she figures out which part of the play she has been dropped into. Desperate to escape the oppressive influence of Lord Capulet and the ever present threat of marriage to Paris, Harriet jumps at the chance to escape the city with Caterina, a Capulet maid. But what she finds on the outskirts of Verona will change everything, and could end her chances at returning to her own reality.
Can Harriet save two tragically doomed lives, and her own skin, before time runs out?
Price reimagines the classic tragedy of Romeo and Juliet from the perspective of a modern woman accustomed to the attitudes and prejudices of her own time: not those of a medieval society.
Chooks on a Mission: Gloria has Grit and Gets the Goods
Who ends up with the snake? Do the chooks share, or does one triumph over the other? With a focus on hard and soft 'g' sounds and the 'or' blend, Gloria has Grit and Gets the Goods is a wonderful introduction to life on the farm, while teaching little ones about phonemic awareness and pastoral teachings.
